The great-grand dam Goldbeach, an Oldenburg mare by the Dutch Beach Boy, who falls back on Hanoverian blood with Godehard and Diplomat in the falling line, produced her first foal in 1994 with Argentinus. Annabella made it to the absolute top in show jumping and was internationally successful under Jörg Kreuzmann and the Irish Cian O’Connor. Breeder Ulrich Nölken from Warza sold the two-year-old Grace (internationally successful with Janne-Frederike Meyer) together with the dam Goldbeach to Niebühl to Lars Brunk. He bred Anna by Argentinus.

Earning an 8 for rideability, a 9,08 for jumping talent, and for free-jumping a 10, Comfortuna has proven himself now in sport. Under Sweden’s Magnus Österlund he competed twice at the World Championships for Young Jumpers in Lanaken including advancing to the finals as a 6-year-old.Now he is successful under James Billington and was multiple times high placed. Argentinus

Einer der zweifelsohne bedeutendsten Vererber der Gegenwart: Argentinus, Vater von Pferden wie Anka (unter Marcus Ehing Weltcup-Siegerin), Arko III (unter Nick Skelton zweimal die erfolgreichste Reiter-/Pferdkombination des Jahres im internationalen Springsport) oder dem Weltcup-Zweiten Air Jordan Z unter Daniel Deusser. Der Hannoveraner v. Argentan-Duden II, der bei Jaco Büther gezogen und Zeit seines Lebens auf dem Zuchthof Klatte im oldenburgischen Klein Roscharden gestanden hat, wurde 27 Jahre alt.

Argentinus wurde in Oldenburg gekört, siegte anschließend in der Leistungsprüfung und wurde in vom Oldenburger Verband nach der Beurteilung seines ersten Fohlenjahrgangs als „Hauptprämiensieger“ ausgezeichnet, der Titel für den besten Hengst seines Jahrgangs. Schon bald sollte sich herausstellen, dass er die eigenen Qualitäten – sehr gutes Springen (der Hengst ging selbst in schweren Springen an den Start) einhergehend mit dynamischen, schwungvollen Bewegungen an seine Nachkommen weitergab. Und zwar bis auf internationales Niveau. Im Springsport hat es in 20 Jahren keine Saison gegeben, in der Nachkommen des großen Braunen nicht in Nationenpreisen, auf Welt- Europameisterschaften oder olympischen Spielen am Start waren. • züchterisch einer der bedeutendsten Söhne und auch sportlich unter Thomas Mühlbauer unwahrscheinlich erfolgreich ist der Schwaiganger Hauptbeschäler Asti Spumante
• im Stall von Marcus Ehning zählt der im Besitz der Familie Klatte stehende Armitage in den Startlöchern, sportlich und züchterisch nach vorne zu kommen
• als Leistungsprüfungssieger und Auktionsspitzenpferde begann die Karriere von August der Starke, der im Stall Max-Theurer bis Grand Prix erfolgreich ist und den Nürnberger Burgpokal-Sieger Augustin OLD zeugte.

Er wurde Hannoveraner des Jahres 2005. Argentinus ist ein Dauerbrenner! Sein Sohn Armitage war hocherfolgreich im Sport, stellte unter anderem die PSI-Springspitze und den Siegerhengst in Mecklenburg. Dort stammte der Reservesiegerhengst von Arko ab, also noch einem Argentinus-Enkel. Vier Nachkommen waren 2012 fürs Bundeschampionat qualifiziert. Im internationalen Sportgeschehen mischten Banda de Hus und All Star neben vielen anderen Argentinus-Kindern erfolgreich mit. Auf der Weltrangliste der Vererber steht Argentinus 2012 auf Platz 71 noch vor anderen Legenden wie Polydor, Olympiasieger Baloubet du Rouet oder Calido.
