Indian Summer N decends from the Hanoverian dam line Condera (Hanoverian dam line 3192901, Hanoverian dam line 774)
From this dam line, i.a. Janne-Friederike Meyers successful mare Grace by Armitage, Annabella v. Argentinus with Cian O’Connor in the saddle and Anna v. Argentinus under Takashi Haase.
The great-grand dam Goldbeach, an Oldenburg mare by the Dutch Beach Boy, who falls back on Hanoverian blood with Godehard and Diplomat in the falling line, foaled her first foal in 1994 with Argentinus. Annabella made it to the absolute top in jumping and was internationally successful under Jörg Kreuzmann and the Irish Cian O’Connor. Breeder Ulrich Nölken from Warza sold the two-year-old Grace (internationally successful with Janne-Frederike Meyer) together with the dam Goldbeach to Niebühl to Lars Brunk. He bred Anna v. Argentinus.

Balou du Rouet
Balou du Rouet is not only by far the most successful son of his famous sire, the Olympic champion and three-time World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet, but also appears once again among the top 20 of the world's best jumper sires according to the WBFSH ranking. He is also one of the 20 best eventing sires in the world. Balou du Rouet owes this record, now set for three years, to the large number of successful offspring he has produced, led by the individual World Championship and European Championship bronze medallist as well as World Cup eighth-placed show-jumper Bianca/Steve Guerdat/SUI and the European Championship gold and silver medallist and individual ninth-placed eventer Billy the Red/Kristina Cook/GBR. Further guarantors of success are: Saura de Fondcombe/Nadja Peter Steiner/SUI, European Championship team bronze winner, Brilliant du Rouet/Liubov Kochetova/RUS, World Championship participant, Babalou/Darragh Kenny/IRL, placed fourth in Aachen as well as Balou Rubin R/Pius Schwizer/SUI, Balance/Toni Haßmann and Baloubet/Mario Stevens etc. For the athletes registered in Germany alone, the total prize money won is above 4.37 million euros.
The winner of the Grand Prix of Munich, Balve, Spangenberg, Balzaci/Felix Haßmann, followed by Baccord/Gerrit Nieberg and Balous Bellini/Lutz Gripshöver, stand out in sport among the 66 licensed sons of Balou du Rouet. From a breeding point of view, the premium stallion of the Holstein licensing Baloubetto, sold for 90,000 euros, the OS Reserve Champion Mare Honey Star and the Reserve Champion Colt and Champion Colt of the Goldfever Ring at the German Foal Championships have recently been added to the list of his successful offspring.
Balou du Rouet started his own career with the final score of 9.2 at the 30-day test in Vechta. After serial victories in young horses’ classes, he won the qualification round at the German Championships with a score of 9.2, came eighth in the final of the six-year-olds and won show-jumping competitions up to 3*.
His dam Georgia also produced Cornet’s Balou (by Cornet Obolensky), licensed stallion and German Champion, and Chatinue (by Chacco-Blue)/Patrick Döller, successful at 3* competitions.
The sires Domino, Gepard and Granit, who appear in the earlier generations of Balou du Rouet’s pedigree, have had a lasting influence on the mare base of Paul Schockemöhle’s stud.
Balou du Rouet: international top class
Argentinus
PEDIGREE:
His sire Argentan I was stationed at the Bargstedt studfarm all his life. He presented not only top international competition horses like Itschutschuna and Aramis e.t.c., but also mares of the very highest quality. Argentan I had the image of being a producer of true to type mares, yet without neglecting the competition sport component. In 1994 Argentan I was voted as the stallion of the year on the basis of his surprising prepotency. The damsire, the stylish chestnut Duden II, who attained the ripe old age of 30, also enjoyed the very highest esteem as a producer of top quality performance horses and qualitative broodmares. The maternal line is based on the mare Adafella (by Allerhof III-Denhof). It produced inter alia the approved riding stallion Amareno, the approvals and stallion performance test winner Gachino, who also became the South German riding horse champion and is meanwhile being trained by Ulla Salzgeber in advanced dressage, as well as the Hessian private stallion Luchino.
PERFORMANCE: Argentinus performed well as a showjumper up to Grand Prix level following his successful stallion performance test. The list of Argentinus' achievements during the course of his long career is long – Champion Stallion in Oldenburg, Stallion of the Year in Hanover Argentinus who has uninterruptedly performed covering duty at Klein Roscharden since his early youth, quickly advanced to become a sire of world format. In 1984 he was awarded the Top premium for his excellent offspring. In 1996 he was the youngest millionaire among Germany's top class stallions and is meanwhile the most successful living stallion nationwide. Argentinus is omnipresent wherever one looks, whether it is breeding or sport, mare shows or approvals, dressage or on the showjumping course, Argentinus' s presence can be seen and felt nigh to everywhere.
PROGENY:This performance class I tested, main premium champion stallion dominates the breeding and competition sports stage effectively and with a for all intents and purposes uniqueness in his diversity. Numerous Argentinus progeny have been at the forefront of the international showjumping and dressage sport for years now. In excess of 20 approved sons (including the stallion performance test winner and top lot of the Vechta auction August der Starke) and a great number of state premium mares, of which many have made a name for themselves supra-regionally (i.a. federal mare shows, FN performance stud book), are living proof of the breeding successes of this exceptional stallion. The most famous Argentinus offspring currently are Arko with Nick Skelton, Anka 61 with Marcus Ehning, Aleppo S-OLD with Isabell Werth and Albano 7, who was a reserve in the German Olympic team 2000 with Heike Kemmer. His son, Arko ESI, sold for 130,000 Euro, making him the most expensive warmblood foal ever sold at an auction in Germany. A full brother of this price record breaker, Arko III, was the most successful show jumper in the world twice under Nick Skelton. But Argentinus' many other internationally successful off-spring document why he remains such a popular sire: Anka, under Marcus Ehning, won the competition in Spangenberg and took home a ribbon from Geneva the end of this year. Nations Cup winner Asti Spumanti under Thomal Mühlbauer had another great season. As the sire, so the off-spring: honest, willing to perform and born with a genius talent for jumping. The statistics on his internationally successful off-spring show the true dimensions of his greatness. Special Ed, for example, participated in the World Equestrian Games in Aachen under Jill Henslewood.
